GEXA ENERGY complaint by Sue
I am a Gexa customer. They advertise on their website to supply energy for .096 cents per Kwh. When you get the bill they charge .1485 cents per Kwh.

BIG difference!!!!! They also advertise the cheaper rate on the website "power tochoose.org". The Texas Public Utility Commission directs customers to this website to compare all the different energy providers. I wonder if the other energy companies are misleading the public with a low energy rate to get their business, then charging more?

If you know of a reasonablely priced and honest energy provider for Centerpoint customers in Texas PLEASE let everyone in on the secret.

Actually, if you are on a month to month plan as it states in the terms your rate is VARIABLE which may be effected with market increases, however, the advertised rates are for new customers switching or needing new service and can be extended out to you by just calling in and request the advertised rate on the power to choose site, all i did was ask for it and it was on my next bill (may vary based on meter read date and when your bill generates) they will happily change it but they will not automatically drop when advertising introductory rates. so just call in :) AND THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PARTNER PROGRAM IS GREAT! :zzz :zzz
